Sen sumana? Has it changed your life? For those that practice yoga? How do you integrate this in your massage work?
Thai massage plays a big role in our lives, yet, we don't post. Past posts ended in enmity and aggression, ego and hurtful exchange. It was brutal. Most beginners, we are all, need to think we know a lot. Can't we choose a topic to be discussed, and share this logically, and learn more? Part of the problem is there is no moderator, and who would want to moderator of this motley tribe?
Seems to me, Tribe is going down... and Facebook will never be able to bring up the level of competence here at tribe. Its up to you-
Om shanti peace,
Jody

Re: Sen lines- let's share-
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 2:44 PMHi Jody
I am totally all about sharing.
Meridiens & QI is a sister tribe, however, specializing in qi/chi/prana, sen/shen/sien/prana sumana/meridians/lines/nadis.
If we are to survive as a tribe, we need to bury the old hatchet.
We are now not what we were. We are what we are now.
Let's move on.
Look for briggi on facebook.

Facebook is not the same as Trbie at all it
lacks specialization
I work in Thai trad and Ayurveda and am now in old French practices
and north eastern Thai, Burma, Laos herbals
-
but Thai trad is home- lets share-
so what about Sen Sumana? or favorite lines- or hello, and how are you?
And be well, happy and peaceful- come out and play!

Re: Sen lines- let's share-
Tue, October 20, 2009 - 2:17 AMIt's hard to choose a favorite; they're all so wonderful.
What one ortwo do you like?
Facebook is great for people who like to take somebodies one-liner and tack wiscracks onto it.And then move on to the next person's one-line statement in kind of a high speed flow - no looking back. It's all good.
Then there are those who like to get deep into a subject and discuss it all to death, some threads going on for years
--- different strokes.
Sometimes get the feeling that most members of this tribe already have their massage act together. These folks are into publicising their practice or announcing a workshop.
But some of us like to exchange information about techniques and so learn more and refine what we already know about NUAD.

Re: Sen lines- let's share-
Fri, October 23, 2009 - 10:12 AMWhen I started i twas all about lines but now I pretty much go by touch and intuition these past few years, but will experiment with the lines again. There's a youtube of Laurino demonstrating Kalathari ( Asoka's favorite!) somewhere, and I admire his work and presence. Also, to keep clients coming back, they need to feel good, and that has changed my style. The French are not as used to deep work, so last summer in California was wonderful to sink in with weight. -

Re: Sen lines- let's share-
Fri, October 23, 2009 - 6:28 PMOne nuad lady I know, in an effort to make her clientele feel good, has diluted her practice to include kinds of kneading and stroking not typical to, nor useful to, the energywork aspect of nuad (maybe even counter-productive to the buildup of qi). --- but nonetheless a bit more in keeping with client expectations about wanting to be comforted, ala Swedish..
